Meetings throughout Europe call for participation in rally for Öcalan in Cologne on 16 November

Public meetings are taking place around Europe to prepare for the rally for Öcalan that will take place in Cologne on 16 November.

Several public meetings took place throughout Europe to prepare for the rally that will take place in Cologne on Saturday 16 November. The rally will demand freedom for Abdullah Öcalan.

Dortmund

A public meeting was held in Dortmund to prepare for the rally in Cologne, organized within the scope of the "Freedom for Abdullah Öcalan, Political Solution to the Kurdish Problem" international campaign.

The meeting was attended by former HDP MP Hişyar Özsoy, who emphasized the importance of the demonstration to be held in Cologn. Özsoy said that the chief negotiator for the solution to the Kurdish issue is Leader Öcalan. 

Bellinzona

A public meeting was held in Bellinzona, in the canton of Ticino in Switzerland. A minute of silence was observed in memory of the Kurdish Freedom Martyrs at the meeting held at the Democratic Kurdish Community Center (DEM-KURD).

Evaluating the process, politician Mehmet Ronahi noted that the process of reshaping the Middle East had begun and that Turkey wanted to be involved in the process, especially by changing its energy line, but was excluded from the process.

Nuremberg

KON-MED co-chair Kerem Gök spoke at the meeting held at the DTKM in Nuremberg. Reminding that Leader Öcalan had been kept under heavy isolation and solitary confinement in Imralı Closed Prison for 26 years.

Gök said that within the global initiative launched on 10 October 2023, a rally will be held in Cologne. He called on everyone to attend the rally. 

Duisburg

A public meeting was held in Duisburg to prepare for participation in the rally to be carried out in Cologne as part of the second phase of the international campaign "Freedom for Abdullah Öcalan, Political Solution to the Kurdish Problem".

The public meeting was held at the Duisburg Democratic Kurdish Community Center. KCKD-E co-chair Zübeyde Zümrüt emphasized the historic importance of the demonstration to be held on 16 November.
