The brother of Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan, Mehmet Öcalan has gone to İmralı island to visit his brother. The visit, he said, is a family visit. Indeed he went to the prison together with the families of other inmates in the island, namely Cumali Karsu's sister Pervin Oduncu and Şeyhmus Poyraz' brother Felek Poyraz.
Mehmet Öcalan last visited his brother on 14 January.
The visit comes during a week in which a second visit by a BDP-DTK delegation is scheduled. The first meeting took place on 3 January. The delegation then was made up of independent deputy and DTK co.chair Ahmet Türk and Peace and Democracy (BDP) deputy Ayla Akat Ata.
Turkish Prime Minister said on Sunday the application by the BDP for a second visit was to be dealt with on Sunday night.
