Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan 's brother Mehmet Öcalan and the families of İmralı inmates have arrived in Gemlik to go to the island for a visit to their relatives on Monday.

Answering reporters' questions here, Mehmet Öcalan, asked about the weekend's Diyarbakır visit by Turkish PM Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Kurdistan Regional Government President Massoud Barzani; criticized Erdoğan and Barzani for talking about the peace process without even mentioning the name of Kurdish leader Öcalan regardless of the major contributions he has made to the process. “During the two days visit to Amed, the Prime Minister talked about the peace process. We also hope and demand the practice of his statements but it is not only the Turkish state and government but also Öcalan who is leading this process. It would be better and right if they talked about the truths”, Öcalan added.
