A memorial was held in Marseilles, France for Adil Sünger (Lecwan Munzur) and Ruhat Tabak (Çekdar Botan) who had been martyred in a Turkish army bombing against Medya Defense Zones in June 2016. The memorial service held under the lead of Ciwanên Azad started with a minute's silence for the martyrs of the revolution.

Politician Hamit Boran gave a short speech, and later videos depicting Martyrs Çekdar and Lecwan's lives were screened. The memorial closed with participants chanting "Bijî Serok Apo".
