MEPs Lydie Massard and Chris MacManus demanded freedom for Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan.
Erem Kansoy from Medya Haber TV spoke to Sinn Féin MEP Chris MacManus.
MacManus said: "We want to see a political solution to this problem that has been going on for many years and for the Kurdish people to govern themselves. The first thing to do about this will be to break the absolute isolation imposed on Öcalan and ensure his freedom. In this way, he will play his role in ensuring a stable and lasting peace for the Kurdish people and the Middle East."
MEP Lydie Massard gave a similar message and said: "Keeping a person in isolation for months, preventing his family from receiving news is not respect for human rights.
In our role as members of the European Parliament, it is our duty to ensure that every human being enjoys their fundamental rights. Therefore, today we can say that Abdullah Öcalan should benefit from his rights."
