The Metropolis Falcons celebrated the birthday of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan by lighting torches in the borough of Sur in Amed.

Promising to keep the memory of Comrade Fazıl alive, the Metropolis Falcons stated the following:

"The birth of Leader Apo [Abdullah Öcalan] and the 51st year of the freedom struggle is a new turning point for the Kurdish people. We will continue to fight until we achieve Leader Apo’s freedom. We see his life and health as a red line. We will continue the struggle and resistance with the slogan 'it is time for freedom'. 4 April, the birthday of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan, has been seen as a people's birthday for millions of Kurds and has been accepted by the people as the birth of a national freedom struggle."
