In the countryside of Doğankent district in Giresun province in the Black Sea region north of Turkey, Turkish soldiers partaking in a military operation panicked and shot each other. According to Turkish reports, fire was opened from an armored vehicle at a military unit stationed in the forest.
A soldier was hit and succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
