In a written statement released on Monday, People's Defense Forces Press Office HPG-BIM said the Turkish military has launched an operation around the villages of  Helena and Şikestun in Hakkari's (Colomerg) Şemdinli (Şemzinan) district on 27 April.

HPG said the operation was followed by another which was carried out around the villages of Gire Beranê and Sisê on the same day.

HPG-BIM noted that the Turkish military activity in the region is still continuing.

The statement added that there is also an intense activity of secret military units that are seen near the region of  Gırê Berana and Warê Bozo and are continuously being replaced by some others.
