Peshmerga forces were targeted by a mine attack in the city of Tuz Khurmatu in Salahaddin province at 22:30 Thursday evening.
The attack in Dibc village of Tuz Khurmatu left three peshmergas, among them one commander, dead and one other wounded.
One of the peshmerga commanders Rêkewt Mihemed stated that the attack was launched by the ISIS gangs as the slain peshmerga commander paid a visit to the peshmerga brigade in the village of Dibc.
Bodies of the martyred peshmergas were taken to the morgue of Tuz Khurmatu Hospital.
