In the French city of Montpellier a protest was organised to protest the the AKP-MHP seizure of the HDP-run municipalities of Amed, Van and Mardin.

The march, organized by the DKTM (Democratic Kurdish Community Center) and the Delal Amed Women's Commune, began at Peyrou Pitot Park and went all the way to Comedie Square.

During the march, activists handed out the communiqué about the usurped municipalities.

People chanted slogans and representatives of French left parties also joined the march.

A rally was held in Comedie Square where speakers expressed solidarity with the Kurdish people, and condemned the seizure of municipalities.
