More civilians rescued in Raqqa

Syrian Democratic Forces have rescued dozens of civilians, among them wounded, in Nazlat Shehade neighbourhood of Raqqa.

YPG-led Syrian Democratic Forces continue their operations to rescue civilians from the clutches of ISIS gangs and lead them to safe areas in Raqqa, the so-called capital of ISIS.

In Nazlat Shehade neighbourhood south of the city, the special units formed by SDF to rescue the local population from ISIS have rescued more civilians.

The civilians were targeted by ISIS snipers during the rescue mission, wounding a man and his son, both of whom were then taken to the hospital by the fighters.

The operation to liberate Raqqa launched by SDF on June 6 continues in its 65th day and 60 percent of the city has been cleared of ISIS since.
