The purge against HDP and DBP members continue. Several people were arrested in Antep and Iğdır, and HDP administrators were detained during the police raid at the HDP office in Sultanbeyli, İstanbul.

ANTEP

34 of the 39 people, including children and HDP and DBP members, who had been detained on December 12, were taken to court yesterday. After their 15 day-long detainment, the 34 people refuted the claims that the content they shared on social media and the activities they participated in constitute ‘organization membership’ and ‘organization propaganda.’

19 of the 34 detainees were released on probation, and the following people were arrested:

"HDP Antep Provincial Co-President Güler Erat, Youth Assembly Spokesperson Mustafa Sayınbatur, DBP Şehitkamil Provincial District Co-President Tahir Altuğ, MEYA-DER Antep Branch Co-President Osman Akdoğan ve party members Ali Şimşek, Bulent Tekin, Selam Tekin, Samir Aygun, Yalçın Aygun, Şeref Burak Haykır, Ali Ercan Kaya, Fatih Yalçınkaya, Mehmet Ergun, Yusuf Kadioglu and Hamit Kaygusuz."

The arrested people were sent to Antep H Type Closed Prison, and the 5 children still in detention are expected to appear in court today.

IĞDIR

5 people including HDP administrators, who had been detained during an operation in Iğdır province on December 20, appeared in court today and got arrested for alleged ‘membership to a terrorist organisation.’ Furthermore, one of the 4 people that had been detained for the content they shared on social media were arrested for ‘organization propaganda.’

İSTANBUL

Police officers raided the HDP Sultanbeyli District Branch last night, destroyed the property inside the building, and wrote racist and provocative graffiti on the walls of the HDP office. Simultaneous raids were carried out in the houses of HDP politicians, and the following people were detained: Sultanbeyli District Co-chair Selahattin Yılmaz, district administrators Ahmet Narım, Razaman Koni, Abidin Koni, İhsan Güneş, Halis Toprak, and YAKAY-DER administrator Said İnedi.
