More prisoners join indefinite hunger strike for Öcalan

Three more prisoners in Sincan Women’s Closed Prison have announced starting hunger strike demanding an end to the isolation of Öcalan.

Inspired by DTK Co-chair and HDP MP Leyla Güven who is jailed in Diyarbakır and fasting for 49 days now, hunger strikes demanding an end to the isolation regime imposed on Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan continue spreading in prisons.

Three more prisoners in Sincan Women’s Closed Prison have announced going on an indefinite and non-alternate hunger strike.

The female prisoners, Süheyla Taş, Zeliha Ustabaş and Saliha Taşkesen, stated that their action will continue until the isolation on Öcalan is lifted.

In the meantime, the indefinite and alternate hunger strike launched by PKK and PAJK prisoners in Sincan Women’s Closed Prison on November 27, continues on its 30th day.
