Crime Scene Investigation teams have started looking into the murder of HDP announcement vehicle driver Hamdullah Öge. HDP Bingöl Parliamentarian candidate Serhat Gümüş was briefed by the autopsy prosecutor in Bingöl and stated that there are more than 30 bullet holes on Hamdullah Öge’s body.

Hamdullah Öge was driving his Ford Transit minibus with the license plate 12 AJ 474 back to his house as he was murdered in the Nevalakamış region of Serpmekaya (Alpîran) in Karlıova, Bingöl. Karlıova Public Prosecution Office began an investigation in the area where Öge was murdered. Karlıova Gendarme officials were the first ones to arrive at the crime scene and waited for Crime Scene Investigation police who arrived in the area this morning. Hamdullah Öge’s bullet-torn vehicle was taken to a closed garage in Gendarme Regional Command for further investigation.   

Accompanied by two trained dogs, Crime Scene Investigation police found many bullet casings near Öge’s executed body. Identified casings were numbered and photographed. After making some calculations, investigating police concluded that Öge’s vehicle was targeted from both sides of the road in a cross-fire shooting. Many bullet holes on both sides and the front of the vehicle support this conclusion.

As the investigation continues, Hamdullah Öge’s executed body was taken to Karlıova State Hospital and later to Erzurum Forensic Institution in Erzurum for an autopsy. After this autopsy, Öge’s body was taken back to Karlıova for burial services. Although the autopsy results have not been publicized yet, HDP Bingöl Parliamentarian Serhat Gümüş spoke to the prosecutor who did the autopsy and learned that there are more than 30 bullet holes on Öge’s body, mainly around his head and torso.
