Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) led by the YPG and backed by the U.S. are continuing their advance in Raqqa city which they have largely taken under control.
Special units formed by the SDF to free the local population from the clutches of ISIS gangs also continue to rescue civilians from the ISIS-held areas.
SDF’s special units went into action early Saturday morning and rescued more than 50 Raqqan civilians, among them also Christians.
The rescued civilians have been transferred to safe areas and those with injuries have been taken under treatment by Kurdish Red Crescent Heyva Sor a Kurd.
