Mothers in Esenyurt Square: We are not afraid of them

Mothers in Esenyurt Square reiterated their will to hold their sit-in to support their sons and daughters on hunger strike.

Families of prisoners on hunger strike have continued to hold a sit-in in Esenyurt, Istanbul, to support the resistance and call on people to show solidarity with the action.

For 11 days police have been preventing the families from making their sit-in saying it was forbidden. The families insisted on coming to Esenyurt Square and vowed they will continue to come every day.

The mothers said: "We are not afraid of them. But they are afraid of us, they are afraid of 10-15 mothers."
