Motion to extend mandate for cross-border operations

Motion calling for extending the mandate for Turkey's cross-border operations for one more year.

The Turkish Presidency submitted a motion to Turkish parliament to extend the state’s authority to launch cross-border military operations in northern Iraq and Syria for one more year.

The motion which authorizes the Presidency for an attack against South Kurdistan, Rojava, North and East Syria was submitted to the Speaker’s Office on October 4 and will be debated in the parliament tomorrow, Tuesday.

The mandate is expected to be extended for another year.
