İbrahim Akın, Green Left Party Co-Spokesperson in İzmir and MP candidate for the city, and HDP MP Garo Paylan met with the public in a meeting in the central Karşıyaka district. Speaking here, Paylan pointed out that the enthusiasm in İzmir was reminiscent of the June 7 elections in 2015. An organized nationalist-fascist mob attempted to provoke the people who staged a march after the meeting. Despite provocations, the march was successfully held.

Speaking to ANF after the march, Paylan said: “I am sure that we will win at least five seats in İzmir. We will continue to conduct our campaign without interruption until May 14 to mobilize all our friends and comrades for the elections.”

'ONE VOTE FOR GREEN LEFT, ONE VOTE FOR KILIÇDAROĞLU'

Paylan said that the mob attack against the Green Party activists was an organized attack. He continued: "It was a planned provocation. We are always ready for such provocations. We have never bowed to such people. We have been fighting fascism for years and this struggle will continue until the end.”

Paylan concluded: “We will support Piro, that is, Mr. Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, whom we consider the most democratic leader among the others to end the one-man regime. One vote for Piro, one vote for Green Left Party.”
