MPs support the vigil for Öcalan by Kurdish institutions

The support demonstration by representatives from Kurdish institutions in Europe for the vigil demonstration held for the Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan’s freedom continues on day 3.

Kurdish Democratic Society Congress Europe (KCDK-E) constituents, Syriacs Union Europe (ESU), Socialist Refoundation Party (SKYP), Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) and the Goran Movement are participating in the demonstration held by representatives from dozens of institutions.

On day 3 of the demonstration, former HDP MP Ertuğrul Kürkçü and the participants of the freedom march for Öcalan visited the Fredom for Öcalan Vigil grounds. PUK MP Salar Muhammed and Goran MP Şêrko Hemo from the Southern Kurdistani Parliament are also participating in the demonstration.

KARTAL: THE STRUGGLE WILL CONTINUE UNTIL HE IS FREE

Kongra-Gel Co-chair Remzi Kartal made a statement about the demonstration and added that the vigil for Öcalan’s freedom has continued for 6 years. Kartal stressed that the people in all four parts of Kurdistan demand his freedom with the awareness that there can be no life without Öcalan, and stated that the representatives from the institutions are holding the demonstration today with such an approach.

Kartal thanked the participants of the Freedom for Öcalan Vigil for the last 6 years, and stressed that as Kurdish institutions their struggle will continue until Öcalan is free.

HDP, GORRAN AND PUK MPS OFFER SUPPORT

KCDK-E Co-chair Yüksel Koç spoke in a press statement and thanked Izmir MP Ertuğrul Kürkçü and Southern MPs who went to the demonstration grounds for support. Koç stressed that the Kurdish people demand Öcalan’s freedom and added that the demonstrations will continue until Öcalan is free.

Koç said Öcalan’s freedom is the freedom of the Kurdish people and the peoples and faiths of the Middle East.

“ÖCALAN’S PROJECT IS IMPORTANT FOR A DEMOCRATIC SOCIETY”

A German ally spoke in the demonstration and stressed Öcalan’s project for a democratic society, pointing out the importance of the demonstration in front of the Council of Europe (CoE). The German activist called all peoples to participate in the demonstrations for Öcalan and ended his speech with the slogan, “There is no life without Öcalan”.

A Long March activist said the Freedom for Öcalan Vigil is held in a district where institutions with authority such as the EC and the CPT (Committee for the Prevention of Torture), and stated that these institutions should fulfill their duties at once. The activist stressed that they will continue to fight for the freedom of Öcalan.
