A delegation of the Syrian Democratic Council (MSD), including the chairperson of the Executive Committee, Ilham Ehmed, is in Russia for talks.

A delegation of the Syrian Democratic Council (MSD) has arrived in Russia on Friday for talks. The members of the delegation are Ilham Ehmed, the co-chair of the Executive Committee, her deputy Hikmet Hebîb, Senherib Barsum of the Syriac Union Party and the MSD representative in Egypt, Sihanok Dibo.

Sihanok Dibo told ANHA about the visit that an agreement between the MSD and the Popular Will Party is to be signed on Tuesday. Dibo did not comment on the exact content of the agreement and added: "The details will be published at a later date. However, we can say that it is the best agreement to date. It will have a positive influence on all components and the opposition in Syria and will contribute to a real change".

Talks are also planned with the Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and other senior representatives.

The Syrian Democratic Council (MSD) was founded in 2015 and is the political umbrella that provides the political framework for resolving the Syrian conflict through inter-Syrian talks and diplomatic work. Political parties, civil society, the autonomous administration of North and East Syria and key figures are represented in the MSD.
