Muslim speaks at Rosa Luxemburg Foundation

Speaking at a panel discussion at the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation in the German capital Berlin, PYD (Democratic Union Party) leader Saleh Muslim said that he was denied permission to enter South Kurdistan by the KDP (Kurdistan Democratic Party).

Muslim started his speech remembering his son Shervan, YPG (People's Defense Units) fighter who lost his life in clashes with Jihadist battalions of al Nusra and Islamic State of Iraq and al Sham (ISIS) in Tel Abyad on 8 October.

Speaking about his son whom he defined as a person of justice, PYD leader said that; "I know some among you have also lost their sisters, brothers, daughters and sons in the battle. I am one of you know and I am proud to be a martyr's father."

Referring to the Geneva 2 Middle East peace conference intended for a solution to the Syrian crisis, Muslim said it was of vital importance for Kurds to participate the conference. PYD leader underlined that; “Kurds have never been defeated in the battle field, they have always lost at the table so far but this is not what is going to happen this time. Nobody should bargain with us over this issue for we will not let the Geneva be another Lausanne and we are making all our preparations about this subject.”
