NAV-DEM has called for participation to the demonstrations held for Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan’s health, safety and freedom.

NAV-DEM issued a written statement titled “Call for all Democratic Kurdish Society Center constituents in Germany (CÎK, FEDA, NAV-YÊK, HDK, Demokratik Güçbirliği) and all allies in democratic institutions” and said:

“We are calling for a strong participation in the demonstrations to be held on the streets every day until we receive information from reliable sources about the Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan’s healt and safety.

His family and his lawyers must be allowed to meet with our Leader at once and the Kurdish people and the democratic public must be informed correctly. The states and political powers that participated in the international conspiracy, and the Council of Europe and the Committee for the Prevention of Torture (CPT) must intervene with the situation urgently.

We must continue our demonstrations until his family, his lawyers and a political committee meets with him.”

DEMONSTRATIONS CALENDAR

The statement included the following information on the current locations and dates for the demonstrations to be held for Öcalan:

“Every weekday:

Dortmund Central Station, 18.00

Essen Central Station, 19.00

Duisburg Central Station, 19.00

Bielefeld Central Station, 18.00

Münster Central Station, 18.00

In Hannover, there will be a march to the Turkish Consulate on October 16 at 15.00.

In Hildesheim, there will be a march on October 16 at 17.00.

In Stuttgart, a watch demonstration will be held for a week between 11.00-21.00 in the Schlossplatz Kobanê Square from Tuesday.

In Saarbrucken in front of the Europa Galerie, there will be various demonstrations from tomorrow until Friday at 18.00.

A march will be held in Mannheim Hbf at 18.00, in Darmstadt Luisen Platz at 17.00, in Frankfurt Hbf at 17.30 on October 16 with the Demoratic Society Centers and Women’s Assemblies.

A demonstration will be held in front of the CSU Munich Headquarters on October 16 at 13.00 (Mies-van-der-Rohe-Str. 1 80807, Munich)

In Oldenburg, a march will be held in front of the Hbf on October 16 at 18.30.

In Hamburg, a march will be held in front of the Hbf on October 16 at 18.00. On October 17, a march will be held from Saturn at 18.00. On October 18, a march will be held at 18.00.

There will be a march in Kiel, location TBD.”
