NAV-DEM issued a call for action to attend the demonstrations to be held in Germany against the lifting of the parliamentary immunities in Turkey. NAV-DEM said, “This day is the day to increase and extend all kinds of struggles against fascism.”
The Germany Democratic Kurdish Society Center (NAV-DEM) issued a call for action to attend the “Hands Off My Deputy” demonstrations for all Kurdistanis and democratic forces living in Germany. The NAV-DEM statement says:
“The transition into fascism was carried out with a final coup against the will of coexistence of the HDP, the expression of a will to live in the security of a just peace. The country has been pulled into chaos with the months-long massacres of the state against civilians, the attempt at surrounding the Alevi people with ISIS gangs, and the countrywide unlawful anti-freedom fascist practices.
Kickstarting the fascist coup process with taking control of the judicial, executive, and legislative powers one by one and announcing that “there is a de facto change in the regime”, Tayyip Erdoğan wants to achieve the one-man dictatorship through silencing the only obstacle in the parliament by lifting the immunities of the HDP deputies.
The Turkish state is attempting to prevent the freedom storm led by the Kurdish Freedom Movement and their allies and achieved by the Anatolian-Mesopotamian peoples that is taking hold in the country. The AKP is apparently considering spreading the massacres all around the country to implement a boundless fascism.
We know that the basic instinct that leads the enemies of freedom to such inclinations is their enmity towards a pluralist system that all peoples, faith groups, workers, women, youth, different lifestyles, and marginalised and marginalized groups can live together with equal identities and the just peace that will ensure this. However, AKP, MHP and CHP that form the core of the traditional Turkish nationalism and the colonialist state acted together against Kurdish politicans and politics. The enemies of freedom, the “holy alliance of the colonialist state” destroyed the parliamentarian democracy in Turkey, thusly becoming cohorts in a great crime against humanity.
But we, the forces in the world on the side of freedom, equality, and peace, know from the Mussolinis, Hitlers, Francos, Salazars and all the others from world history, that fascism is never permanent as long as the peoples have a passion for freedom.
Like we raised the flag of struggle against fascism together and crowned the victory of freedom in history, we will wage the same fight against the Erdoğan-led Turkish fascism today and will carry freedom into the future.
There should be no doubt that any action taken against our deputies, elected by the free will of our peoples, will be met with a multiplied reaction.
Today is the day to increase and extend all kinds of struggles against fascism.
The Kurdish people’s struggle for freedom will never bow down to any system. We call on all our friends, revolutionaries and democrats to increase the resistance against AKP fascism shoulder to shoulder. We call on everybody to attend the marches and demonstrations in the following cities:
