Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoðan has submitted his new Cabinet to President Abdullah Gül at the Çankaya presidential palace.
Erdoðan's government introduced changes to the current Cabinet structure last month. The government abolished eight state ministries, introducing six new ones. At the same time it merged two ministries and transformed two others. As part of the new structure, there are 26 members of the Cabinet, including the prime minister. There are four deputy prime ministers and 21 ministers.
The Cabinet announced by Erdoðan includes Bekir Bozdað, Beþir Atalay, Bülent Arýnç and Ali Babacan as the deputy prime ministers.
The ministers who will serve as the heads of the newly introduced ministries are Minister of Family and Social Policy Fatma Þahin, Minister of European Union Affairs Egemen Baðýþ, Minister of Economy Zafer Çaðlayan, Minister of Youth and Sports Suat Kýlýç, Minister of Customs and Trade Hayati Yazýcý and Minister of Development Cevdet Yýlmaz.
Six names are new while 16 ministers preserved their positions. The new ministers are Fatma Þahin, Erdoðan Bayraktar, Ýsmet Yýlmaz, Ýdris Naim Þahin, Suat Kýlýç and Bekir Bozdað.
