It was interesting to notice that the news that the prosecutor launched an investigation came immediately after a speech delivered by President and AKP President Erdogan.

Diyarbakir Chief Public Prosecutor's Office said it had opened an investigation against the HDP provincial and district executives on the grounds that they favoured participation in the PKK.

The announcement of the new investigation came shortly after a speech by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Malatya targeting the HDP.
