Newroz celebrated in the Netherlands and Germany

Kurdish people in Europe have started celebrations to welcome Newroz.

THE HAGUE

In the city of the Hagur in the Netherlands, Kurdish New Year Newroz was celebrated. Solidarity with the hunger strikers was reiterated as well as the support to the resistance demanding the end of isolation.

A large crowd joined the Newroz celebrations where HDP former deputy Ahmet Yildirim delivered a speech.

"They have nothing but tank and weapons, - said Yildirim - and if we take these weapons and tanks from their hands, the whole world will see that they have nothing to do with humanity, morality, and honor. The isolation imposed on Mr. Öcalan is imposed on peace and humanity."

Hüseyin Yildiz, who has been on hunger strike for 59 days and Hasbi Cakici, who has been on hunger strike for 58 days in the Dutch city, called on people to raise the resistance.

The representative of the Dutch Liberal Party, in his speech, expressed solidarity with the resistance of the Kurdish people and the hunger strikes.

YPG veteran Rcehart Jansen also joined the night.

The concert was attended by Xelil Xemgin, Hozan Zozan, Hozan Diyar, Koma Bager, Koma Kude Holland, Hozan Ozgur and Deniz Dersim.

LEIPZIG

Newroz was also celebrated in Leipzig, Germany.

Sefkan, Osman Hip-Hop Kûrdi, Ahmado 7.87, Şêrko and Cewat Mervanî performed at the celebration.

Messages from Rojava Soli Leipzig and YXK were read during the night, calling on people to claim the hunger strike resistance.
