Hundreds of Italians and Kurds attended the Newroz celebration organized by the Rete Kurdistan Emilia Romagna (Kurdistan Solidarity Network), Ya Basta, LABAS, TPO and Rete Jin Bologna.

Kurdish musician Ashti Abdo gave a concert at the celebration, where a giant banner "Freedom for Öcalan, Biji Newroz" was hung.

All proceeds from the celebration were donated to Heyva Sor a Kurdistanê for the earthquake victims.
