The Ararat Centre in Rome organized of the most spectacular Newroz celebration this year.

Roman intellectuals, democrats, leftist organizations, civil society organizations, Iranian, Afghan, Indian, Kurdish friends joined the celebration.

This year’s celebration was considered the most spectacular in years in Rome.

The celebration started on Saturday evening and went on until late night. The Newroz speech by KCK Executive Council co-chairman Cemil Bayık was broadcast and speeches were made by many of the guests.

Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan's posters, PKK and KCK flags, photos of the hunger strikers and of HDP Hakkari MP Leyla Güven had been hanged all around the area.

Photo of YPG Italian fighter Lorenzo Orsetti Tekoser, who lost his life last week, as well as photos of many revolutionaries were also hanged.

Isolation against Abdullah Öcalan was condemned, and the Newroz fire was lit while people danced halay around it.
