Police forces carried out house raids in Nusaybin district of Mardin and Suruç district of Urfa this morning.

According to reports, five people were taken into custody in Nusaybin where hundreds of civilians were massacred amid a brutal campaign by the Turkish state forces in 2015 and 2016. The events and activities in the district were cited as the reason for detentions. A confidentiality order has been imposed on the investigation, as well as 34-hour lawyer restriction for those detatined.

On the other hand, four people were detained during the house raids in Suruç over the statements of a person against them.

In an operation carried out on the same basis yesterday, a couple was taken into custody in the district.
