HDP provincial chair Seyit Battalcan, Muğdat Koçak, Ozan Kaya, Emrah Kaya, Nihat Keleş, Özcan Koçak, Şabattin Oğuz, Izzet Dursun and two other persons were taken into custody in Patnos, Ağrı, following a series of house raids on 6 September.

The Prosecutor's office filed a request for arrest of 10 people on the allegations of "being a member of an illegal organization" within the scope of an investigation opened in 2014 and referred to the Magistrates' Court of Peace.

The nine people remanded in custody were sent to Patnos Prison.
