At least 90 members of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) were killed by Kurdish fighters in Aleppo, during three weeks of fightings.
Clashes erupted between FSA and YPG fighters nearly three weeks ago. According to statistics provided by the YPG on September 23, at least 90 members of the FSA were killed, dozens were injured and twelve members of these brigades were captured alive.
The fighting broke out on September 6 when ten brigades of the FSA, supported by the West and Turkey, attacked the Kurdish areas of "Sheikh Maqsood", "Ashrafieh", "Sakan Shababi" and "Shiqef" instead of fighting the regime.
Two vehicles carrying anti-aircraft guns and five vehicles belonging to the brigades of the FSA were destroyed, said a statement by the YPG.
In addition, 14 residents of the Kurdish areas were killed and over 40 people, mostly children, were injured by "rebels", a term used by the West to describe armed groups supposedly fighting the Assad regime.
The brigades which attacked the Kurdish areas of Sheikh Maqsood, Achrafieh, Sakin Shababi and Shiqef are part of the military council of the FSA for the province of Aleppo.
These brigades reportedly are named: "Ansar al-Islam," al-Sham "The Martyrs (chouhada) of Syria", "Gouraba Al-Sham", "The Martyrs of Badr", "Ahrar", "Mohammad al Fatih" "Rabi al-Arabi", "Salahaddin" and a brigade affiliated with the Kurdish "Azadi" against which the Kurdish Supreme Council launched an investigation for links with al-Qaeda and involvement in attacks on civilians, on September 4.
