‘No peace without the freedom of Öcalan’

Families of Halit Oral and Mehmet Yalçın, who set their bodies on fire to protest the conspiracy against Kurdish People’s Leader Öcalan, stated that they could not accept the isolation of Öcalan at İmralı prison and there would be no peace without Öcalan’s freedom.
‘NO PEACE WITHOUT THE LEADERSHIP’
Şemse Oral, the mother of Halit Oral who set his body on fire to protest the October 9 conspiracy against Öcalan in Maraş prison on October 9, 1999, stated that there would be no peace without the leadership and the isolation of Öcalan is unacceptable. Oral said “Our children gave their lives to protest the attacks on our leadership. We will not accept Öcalan’s isolation and resist until the end.”
‘KURDISH PEOPLE MUST RISE UP’
Şemse Oral called upon Kurdish people to defend their honor and resist against the isolation, and said that Kurdish people have a right to live freely and this freedom depends on the freedom of Öcalan.
‘WE WILL BE LOYAL TO OUR LEADERSHIP FOREVER’
Fatma Yalçın, the mother of Mehmet Yalçın who set his body on fire to protest isolation of Öcalan in August, 2012, stated that they have sacrificed their lives in the struggle against Öcalan’s isolation and would continue to do so until the end. Yalçın emphasized their loyalty to Kurdish People’s Leader Öcalan and noted that they would never accept Öcalan’s isolation.
‘THE ISOLATION CAN ONLY END IF KURDISH PEOPLE RISE UP’
Yalçın said that the isolation of Öcalan could only end if Kurdish people rise up and achieve unity and the path to peace goes through the freedom of Öcalan. Lastly, Yalçın called upon everyone to take immediate action against Öcalan’s isolation.
