The Press Office of the Northern and Eastern Syria Municipalities Committee announced that a delegation from the Committee has visited Italy.

The visit was said to have happened under the agreement signed with the National Association of Italian Municipalities and the UPP supported by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Committee members from Qamishlo, Til Kocer, Hesekê and Serêkaniye municipalities talked with the Italian counterpart about water, infrastructure and social projects.

The delegation went to the water center in Naples to meet with the authorities there. The Municipality of Naples held a press conference and told about the joint projects developed with the Northern and Eastern Syria municipalities.

Berivan Omer, spokeswoman of the delegation, told the press about the Northern and Eastern Syrian municipal system. Omer underlined that the municipalities work on the basis of a co-presidency system in municipalities.

The delegation visited many service organizations in the cities of Torino, Bologna and Padova and met with officials.
