Once again lawyers for Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) leader Abdullah Öcalan have been denied permission to see their client. The application for a weekly visit has been turned down as the ship carrying the lawyers to the island of Imrali was said to be once again "out of order".
Öcalan has not been able to meet his lawyers since July 27, 2011. For 282 days bad weather and problems with the ship have been used as an excuse by the authorities to deny visits.
