In a written statement released on Thursday, Kurdish Communities Union (KCK) Executive Council Presidency said the Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) delegation has delivered Abdullah Öcalan's letter.
Following the meeting with Öcalan on Imralı Island on 14 April, BDP co-chair Gültan Kışanak and deputies Pervin Buldan and Sırrı Süreyya Önder, went to Kandil to deliver the third letter Öcalan has written to KCK executives.
The KCK said that they will release a statement to the press in the coming days to inform the public about the letter and their response to it.
Following a short meeting with KCK Executive Council president Murat Karayılan, members Sabri Ok, Ronahî Serhat and Sülbüs Perî, the BDP delegation left the Media Defense Areas.
The first letter Öcalan sent to KCK executives was delivered by a BDP-DTK (Democratic Society Congress) delegation on 1 March. KCK sent its reply to the Kurdish leader on 13 March, before the Newroz celebration in Diyarbakır on 21 March when Öcalan called for the replacement of arms with democratic politics. In response to the Kurdish leader's call, the KCK called a ceasefire on 23 March after listening to proposals from all parts of Kurdistan and Europe.
Following the second letter Öcalan sent, the KCK sent its reply through BDP co-chair Selahattin Demirtaş and deputy Sırrı Süreyya Önder on 8 April.
