A protestor, Medeni Yıldırım, was killed after the bloody attack by Turkish soldiers targeting people who staged a demo on Friday in protest against the construction of additional buildings to the military post in the village of Kayacık in Diyarbakır's Lice district. Yıldırım's body has been taken to morgue in Lice public hospital where casualties are being treated.

Ten people are reported wounded in the attack, including Salih Bedirhan, Ramazan Çakır, Veysi Özmen, Mehdi Aslan and 16 years old Ronida Pervane.

A delegation of the Peace and Democracy Party (BDP), including co-chair Gültan Kışanak and DTK (Democratic Society Congress) co-chair Aysel Tuğluk have left for Lice where tension is quite high and the number of casualties is feared to increase.
