One person died and around 20 others were wounded in a big explosion in Hakkari’s Þemdinli district on Sunday. Two of the wounded are reported to be in serious situation.

The explosion occurred when a car bomb was detonated as a military vehicle passed by a police spot in the district.

Almost all shops in the district have been closed today in protest against yesterday’s explosion in which minor Faris Demircan (11) was killed and 26 people were wounded, according updated reports by to DIHA. Turkish sources have reported 18 people wounded in the blast.

Police has started an investigation at the scene on Monday morning.
