One out of two women who were seriously injured as a result of the heavy shelling by Turkish helicopters in Kazan Valley lost her life on Monday.

The bombing of Turkish skorsky type helicopters also targeted the houses of civilians in the valley in Hakkari's Çukurca district where clashes between the Turkish military and People’ Defense Forces (HPG) guerrillas are reported to be continuing since last night. Among two women, Aziza Çetin(35) and Keziba Çetinkaya (30), Çetin lost her life at Hakkari State Hospital Monday afternoon.

Shopkeepers have closed their shops in the district of Çukurca where police has blockaded some areas because of the ongoing operation and clashes. Some people, unable to receive news from their relatives in the valley, have left for the clashes area to learn about their relatives.
