Onur's house raided by police

Police teams have raided the house of Deputy Mayor of Cizre, Hanım Onur, on Monday night. Onur was released on Monday after her lawyer presented a letter of application to Diyarbakır 7th High Criminal Court demanding her release. Onur's lawyer Canan Atabay remarked in her application that Onur's children, five years-old leukaemia patient Solin and seven years-old Mithat who has epilepsy, needed their mother beside them.
Reacting to the police raid which came soon after Onur's release, Onur's father Cemal Yural said that their house had been searched in connection with a report police allegedly received about a gun with which someone allegedly opened  fire from their balcony on Monday.
“They looked for a weapon in our house but they didn't find anything. We do not know if someone informed the police or who this person is, but nobody opened fire from our house. Then we went all together to the police headquarters and bore testimony”, said Yural and noted that the police raid has had a remarkable negative effect on Onur's children.
“My daughter has been released in consideration of the situation of her children but all other Kurdish political prisoners have families and children, they should all be released”, added father Yural.
