The Operation Cizire Storm launched to liberate the northern part of Deir ez-Zor continues on day 27.

Latest information from the operation grounds is a s follows:

Clashes broke out in the morning hours in the Wesiha village between SDF fighters advancing in the Suwar town flank and the ISIS gangs. 5 ISIS members were killed in the clashes. SDF fighters continue to advance towards the Iraqi border from the south of the Suwar town.

In the Mergede flank, clashes continued through the night. 8 ISIS members were killed in the clashes and one explosive-laden vehicle and one military vehicle were confiscated by the fighters. SDF fighters advanced a total of 10 km and liberated 16 hamlets.

In the Jazrat flank, intense clashes broke out between SDF fighters and ISIS gangs near the Til Kesra village. One gang leader and 3 other ISIS members were killed in the clashes. 4 bodies were confiscated by the fighters along with their ammunition. In the Jazrat flank, ISIS gangs wear plain clothes to better camouflage themselves, and try to stop the advance of SDF fighters like so.

Despite all attacks by ISIS gangs, SDF fighters continue their advance east of the Euphrates river.

Fighters have advanced a total of 10 km in the last 24 hours and liberated 5 villages and 16 hamlets.
