PAJK statement on hunger strikes in Turkish prisons

In a statement on the indefinite and non-alternate hunger strikes going on in Turkish prisons for the last 35 days, Kurdistan Women’s Liberation Party (PAJK) Coordination called for public awareness saying that “It is the duty of any human being to not to remain silent about the ongoing hunger strikes”.

Pointing out that the hunger strike acts have begun in an environment where words fail, PAJK Coordination said that; “There is nothing left to say or to do in the current situation as the operations of destruction and denial are inflamed and the insist on this approach grows more and more every passing day. The prison resistance of today will be the step for meeting our Leader in free circumstances, progressing revolution to victory and ensuring a status for the Kurdish identity.”

The Coordination ended calling on all peoples in Turkey, the people of Kurdistan in particular, to support the prison resistance in order to enhance people’s struggle for freedom.
