The participants of the long marches through Germany and Switzerland for the freedom of Abdullah Öcalan and a solution of the Kurdish question met today in Freiburg and are walking the last stretch together.
The long march of the Kurdish youth movement for the freedom of Abdullah Öcalan continues today on its last day in Fribourg. The internationalists, who marched through Switzerland with the same demand until Thursday, have joined the youth march. A joint statement will be made by the activists at the end of today's stage through Fribourg.
The internationalist march through Switzerland ended prematurely due to the earthquake disaster in the Turkish-Syrian border area. The demonstration planned for Saturday in Strasbourg to mark the anniversary of the deportation of Abdullah Öcalan to Turkey 24 years ago will also not take place until April because of the earthquake.
The activists in Freiburg will inform about the consequences of the earthquake and call for donations to the Kurdish Red Crescent organisation "Heyva Sor A Kurdistanê".
