The French Communist Party (PCF) issued a written statement in response to the Turkish state's invasion attacks against southern Kurdistan (northern Iraq).

"While Putin's Russia is increasing war crimes in Ukraine, his latest like Erdogan, under the shadow of the press, conducted another deadly attack on the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) strongholds in Iraqç  having led his country into a crisis, Ankara's tyrant is now doing everything he can to provoke nationalist feelings against the Kurdish people,” said the PCF statement, which further included the following:

"As Turkish air force and artillery bombardments increased in Iraqi territory, occupying troops went into action. The Baghdad administration condemned this act of war as a violation of the country's sovereignty and a threat to its security.

The Iraqi government summoned Turkey's ambassador in Baghdad and informed them that as long as the collaboration between Turkey and jihadist formations remains active, Turkey must immediately halt its military measures with unpredictable consequences. Furthermore, the tribe led by Masrour Barzani is actively participating in this operation. This situation enrages millions of Kurds who are dedicated to unity and peace.

However, this military action, which adds to the region's instability, is certain to fail since there is no military solution to the situation.

The Kurds and democratic forces in Turkey have never been intimidated by tyranny, arrests of elected officials and political party employees, torture, violations of the right to vote, or the desire to ban the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP).

R.T. Erdogan, who had problems with everyone until a few months ago, suddenly offers himself as a mediator in the Ukraine crisis. His hypocrisy, however, fools no one.
