PEN Imprisoned Writers Committee condemned the destruction of sentenced writer Halil Gündogan’s book which was regarded as a letter and destroyed by the administration of Sincan F-type Prison No. 1.

The Committee President Halil Ýbrahim Özcan called on the authorities to give up the mentality of September 12 coup.

While Gündogan opened a case through his lawyer, Committee President Özcan made a statement to condemn the decision of the prison’s administration. Özcan said that they once more emphasize their demand to live in a country unafraid of books.
