Hundreds of people turning back from Kobanê were attacked by Turkish soldiers while crossing a mined area at the border.

According to the reports of an ANF correspondent at the border, Turkish soldiers have used intense tear gas against the people stranded in a mined terrain near the village of Etmanik. In response to the attack, people staged sit-in in the mined area.

Soldiers deployed in the area are waiting the people to cross into the Suruç side through the village of Yumurtalık where they are however reported to be subjecting people to identity and passport check.

Soldiers have also attacked the new groups of people coming from North Kurdistan to cross into Kobanê. The mass is responding to the attack with stones.
