Since November this year the city of Serê Kanîyê has been bombed by regime forces and invaded by armed mercenaries associated with the Turkish government. This has lead to deteriorating living conditions and as a result residents have been forced to leave their homes and are now in other Kurdish areas. Many of them have gone to the city of Kobanî. Here the Peoples Council and people in general have provided assistance to these displaced people, they have been provided with housing and also job-opportunities so that they may earn their daily bread.
