People's Initiative calls for urgent action for Kobanê
Kurdistan People's Initiative released a statement calling on the people of North Kurdistan to stop crossing of ISIS gangs who have launched a new wave of attacks on 15 September to besiege Kobanê with the support of the Turkish state.
The Initiative emphasized that the people of North Kurdistan must act urgently in the border areas to prevent further crossing of ISIS gangs from Turkey's border.
Remarking that the Turkish state is delivering a large number of tanks, weapons and ammunition to border areas by train, the Initiative said Turkey is preparing for a new massacre by supporting the ISIS encirclement in Kobanê.
The Initiative callled on the people of Kurdistan, those in Urfa, Suruç and Ceylanpınar in the first place, to act in solidarity with the people of Kobanê, and to act urgently to prevent ISIS gangs from crossing the border and committing probable massacres against the people there.
Gangs now calling themselves the Islamic State are attacking the Kobanê Canton on three fronts since 15 September, and are being supported by the Turkish state which -according to local sources in Girê Spî (Tal Abyad)- is sending by train military ammunition and logistic supply to the gangs deployed across the Silîb Qeran village they are using as a military base.
Local sources say that trains are leaving big cases of ammunition and military equipment at a certain point in the border region, due to the lack of a railroad station or terminal, and that these cases are later taken by gangs after the leave of the trains.
Heavy clashes between YPG forces and ISIS gangs are continuing on three fronts in Kobanê.
