PES delegation denied visit to HDP Co-chair Demirtaş in Edirne
Turkish police prevented a delegation from the Party of European Socialists (PES) that wanted to pay a visit to HDP co-chair Selahattin Demirtaş who is imprisoned in Edirne province.

A delegation from the Party of European Socialists (PES) wanted to pay a visit to HDP co-chair Selahattin Demirtaş who is imprisoned in Edirne province.
Turkish police prevented the PES delegation, led by PES President Sergei Stanishev, who therewith made a press statement in front of the Edirne Prison.
Stanishev protested the obstruction, saying political prisoners have rights.
The PES delegation is expected to visit the Cumhuriyet daily and the CHP in the afternoon.
