The Peshmerga Anti-terror Forces Commander, Polat Sheikh Jangî, said their demands to liberate Sinjar have been several times rejected by the Kurdistan Regional Administration, adding that they were also stopped on one front in Kirkuk.
Anti-terror forces commander Sheikh Jangî has issued a statement on the internet website of SNN (Suleymani News Network), saying that they have applied to the General Commander of the military forces of the Kurdistan Regional Administration, Massoud Barzani, to go to Sinjar to take part in the operation to liberate the town, but have received no answer so far to their demand.
Sheikh Jangî expressed his disappointment about not being allowed to undertake an operation in some areas controlled by ISIS and added that “We were even stopped on one front in Kirkuk”.
Jangî said they have the means to provide continuous supplies of weapons and ammunition to the Yazidi people fighting in Sinjar, even though they are not allowed to reach those regions, adding that for them there is no difference between any parts of Kurdistan, and that they will continue to work to help the people in Sinjar.
