Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoðan did not loose the chance to make it clear once more what he thinks about the BDP (Peace and Democracy Party) in Parliament. While on his way to Spain he told journalists he has all the intentions to lift the immunity of some of the BDP deputies.
A motion prepared by the Prime Ministry was submitted to Parliament to strip BDP deputies of their parliamentary immunity.
Among the various motions against BDP deputies, is that of Diyarbakýr Public Prosecutors' Office asking the lifting of immunity rights for 10 BDP deputies it alleged to have have links with an illegal organization. The deputies include Kýþanak and Van deputy Aysel Tuðluk.
"Our decision - Erdoðan told journalists - will be in favor of lifting the immunity from prosecution of those individuals who hide behind that immunity. After that it's up to the judiciary".
The PM added: "I believe there should be a very different practice in Parliament for those who take on the guise of being an extension of the separatist terrorist organization".
Erdoðan pointed out to 800 motions in Parliament related to the BDP. And he added these "are not ordinary documents" without further elaborate on it as he so often does, leaving interpretation of his words to imagination.
